Animal and bird lovers will be equally as pleased to visit the area as more than 250,000 migratory wildfowl stop off at the nearby Ribble Estuary every year, making it one of the most important sites in the country and a birdwatchers paradise. Just up the road in Blackpool you’ll find more animals at the delightful Blackpool Zoo, while fishes and sharks can be found at the Sea Life Centre.
