Information

What is in the area

The small village of Warton is surrounded by a fantastic mixture of tourist attractions, coastal views, sporting facilities, and countryside. It really can cater for all tastes, so whether you like sailing, golfing, horse riding, sightseeing, swimming, shopping, sunbathing or you just want to enjoy a quiet stroll along the coast, you can find it all on Bank Lane Caravan Park’s doorstep.

Just a short drive from Warton you’ll enter Lytham where you’ll find a choice of shopping outlets, cafés, restaurants, bars, tourist attractions, and leisure facilities. Meanwhile St Annes and its other neighbour Kirkham play host to a number of well-maintained parks and gardens, five miles of sandy beaches, and plenty of picture-perfect countryside to roam around.

If all that isn’t enough to keep you and your family busy then why not head a little further out of the village and pay a visit to one of the UK’s premier tourist towns, Blackpool. With the exhilarating rides of the famous Pleasure Beach, breathtaking views from the top of Blackpool Tower, waterslides at the Sandcastle Waterworld, and donkey rides on the sandy beach, Blackpool is hugely popular with families, couples, and groups of friends alike.

But if you’re looking for tranquillity why not consider paying a visit to one of Fylde borough’s more relaxing haunts, like the championship links golf course at Royal Lytham St Annes. There are plenty of other courses to keep golfers happy too, including Fairhaven Golf Club and Poulton-le-Fylde Golf Club. Alternatively you could try a spot of sailing at Fairhaven Lake, or how about watching the cricket at Blackpool or Lytham Cricket Club?

Animal and bird lovers will be equally as pleased to visit the area as more than 250,000 migratory wildfowl stop off at the nearby Ribble Estuary every year, making it one of the most important sites in the country and a birdwatchers paradise. Just up the road in Blackpool you’ll find more animals at the delightful Blackpool Zoo, while fishes and sharks can be found at the Sea Life Centre. So whether you’re looking for the peace and quiet of the countryside, the beautiful views of the coast, the hustle and bustle of a lively tourist town, or just a fantastic range of sporting facilities, you can find what you want close to Bank Lane Caravan Park.
